Roof gables can be clad with either vertical or horizontal vinyl weatherboards. It’s a smart choice to use Vinyl Cladding Professional’s range of vinyl cladding in these ‘difficult to maintain’ areas. Gables are often high off the ground – sometimes requiring painters to use scaffolding which greatly inflates the cost. Unlike vinyl cladding, these areas will again require painting in usually around 8 years maximum should the painting be maintained properly.
Vinyl weatherboards are solid colour right through the board. This means they will never need to be painted and will retain their appearance for the life of the board. The superior weathering performance of vinyl products is ideal for these highly exposed areas. Because cladding a gable is essentially the same as cladding any other wall, you have a wide choice of any cladding profiles to use. Simply find a profile you like and we are ready to go.
For greater visual impact, vertical boards could be used in a gable with horizontal boards on the walls below. To see photos of examples of this contrast work we have done please click here.
For improved roof ventilation, consider installation of a Gable Vent. Vinyl Cladding Professionals can install round, hexagonal and rectangle gable vents when installing vinyl cladding. The vents we use are quality vents that have fly wire backing. Gable vents are white but can be painted to match any of our colours.
